Pick #7: Jayson Tatum PR Over 39.5 (-135 DK)

With Jayson Tatum having gone over the 39.5 points and rebounds line in 7 of his last 10 home games, and looking to bounce back from an 18-point showing against the Warriors already this season, betting the over for Thursday's matchup looks promising.

The Boston Celtics will host the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night in a rematch of last season's NBA Finals. Boston has been on a tear lately, currently riding a seven-game winning streak and holding the best record in the league at 33-12. On the other end, the Warriors are sitting at .500 and have lost four of their last six. This matchup features two of the league's top scorers in Boston's Jayson Tatum at 31.1 points per game and Golden State's Stephen Curry at 29.3, although Curry falls just outside of qualification for the scoring-title chase.

Tatum is coming off a 51-point effort against the Hornets and has scored at least 30 points in five of his last six contests. Every game is an opportunity for him to make history, especially at home where he's averaging 32.8 points and 8.7 rebounds in his last 10 games. He also has an extra incentive to put up a big performance tonight, as he finished with 18 points in the last matchup against the Warriors on December 10.

Klay Thompson (34 points) and Curry (32) led the Warriors' offense in their previous matchup with the Celtics, a 123-107 win on Dec. 10. Curry is still playing at a high level this season, averaging 29.3 points per game and coming off a 41-point outing against the Wizards on Monday. However, the Celtics have a much better overall team than the Wizards and will be looking to even the regular season series at home.

Considering Tatum's recent form and the Celtics' success, betting the over 39.5 points and rebounds for Tatum looks to be a smart move. Boston has been playing at a championship level and Tatum has been a big part of that. Plus, the Warriors have been inconsistent this season and have had trouble containing Tatum in the past. I believe the over 39.5 points and rebounds for Tatum is a bet worth considering.
