This is a late pick, so I'll be short with this one. This is the same play that I've been demolishing the books with for a good while now. This is the worst line I've seen all day in the NBA.
The Nuggets are currently in a tailspin for this reason: They are the laziest team in the NBA.
I've wrote about this before, and we're back to the well on this one. Aggressive rebounders get the job done vs Denver on the boards. Bobby Portis is the prototypical rebounder that should give Nuggets fans nightmares.
The Nuggets rank near the bottom in almost all Hustle Stat categories, per NBA.com. They rank VERY LAST IN THE NBA in box outs. They rely on Jokic to collect boards and toss baseball passes down the court. That strategy doesn't work against players like Portis. You need to box him out. The Nuggets consistently refuse to do so.
Oh, and by the way. Over his last 10 games, Portis is averaging 8.7 Rebounds. Over two rebounds more on average than this prop line.
There's a couple of props I like in this game. Portis' rebound prop is currently set at 6.5 with the over carrying a plus-money price. HOW?! It's +105 on DraftKings now.
It gets better though. He is currently getting a price of +750 on DraftKings for a double-double at time of posting this. That is absolutely absurd. It makes zero sense. This is a horrible, horrible line and I can't believe this is available at DraftKings. We shall make them pay.
I'm waiting on FanDuel to post Portis rebound props, which they have not done yet. Hopefully they do so I can get some value from the ladders there as well.
