Pick 10: P. Beverley o4.5 Rebounds (+115)

Here we go with Pat Bev again. Love this one tonight in a paced up spot vs Charlotte for the "best rebounding point guard ever" (self-proclaimed, lol).

So, maybe he isn't the BEST rebounding point guard ever, but he's in for plenty of opportunities tonight. Not only do the Charlotte Hornets allow the 2nd most overall opponent rebounds per game, but they allow more rebounds to point guards than any other team in the league. Tonight, at the time of posting this, the Hornets will be missing Rozier, will likely be without Hayward (doubtful), and could even be without Oubre (questionable). All those guys are a factor here. Their individual rebounding is not necessarily going to change the outcome of this bet, but it's their shot-making ability that will allow Beverley an even better shot at surpassing this number. Even if Oubre and Hayward play (unlikely), Rozier being out is a blow to the Hornets shooting percentage, which means more missed shots.

More missed shots=more rebound opportunities.

More rebound opportunities = More rebounds for Pat Bev.

Is it that simple? Ehh, against most teams I'd say no. But the Hornets really suck at rebounding. And although Pat might not be the best rebounding point guard of all time, as he claims, he is still a GOOD rebounding guard. Certainly good enough to out rebound this Charlotte team.

Beverley has proved my previous statement to be true too. He's played the Hornets twice this year, and recorded 6+ rebounds in both games. But even if you go back to before this year, all the way to 2019. Since Pat started his stretch with the Clippers in 2019, he has played Charlotte 7 times. In those 7 games, he has recorded 5+ rebounds in 6 of them, with the one miss being in May of 2020 (COVID year) in a game which he played only 18 minutes. Other than that he's been over this 4.5 rebound line in every game he's played against the Hornets since the beginning of 2019.

With all that being said, the odds are very high that we see Beverley put up 6 or 7 boards tonight. And it gets better! You currently can get this for PLUS MONEY at DraftKings (+115)

These odds are simply too good to pass up tonight with such a prime matchup.

Also, check out his ladders at FanDuel. I won't advise on that but I'm playing it. He's logged 6+ in 4 out of the last 7 vs Charlotte that I mentioned earlier, and in 7 of his past 15 overall games this season. He's also been at 10+ in three of his last 15. Currently FanDuel has his 6+ at +190, but his 8+ all the way at +550. Might be worth a look.
