Pick #5: Jake Woodford strikeouts thrown over 2.5 (-175)
Busy day at work so I have to keep this one short. And, to be honest, this isn't my most thorough research so you might want to hold off on tailing but, here is the rationale.
Woodford's four starts have included 3Ks, 5Ks, 3Ks, and 1K. That one K performance in his last outing was against Arizona who has the fourth least K/game in the MLB at 7.46. Tonight he sees San Francisco who has the most Ks/game at 10.73. In their L3 the Giants have struck out 10.33/game including a 10 K performance last night. I went back through the Giants last 10 games and every single starter had thrown three strikeouts or more against them, most over six. I'm not sure how far back that streak actually goes but, that was good enough for me. I'm locked in.
I couldn't find the game on Pine so no graph but, I will update if one pops up later. For now, here is San Fran leading the MLB in batting Ks/game.
