Pick #4: Carolina Hurricanes ML (-145 DraftKings)
The Panthers have shocked the world and made it this far, but I think the clock has struck midnight for their run going up against a machine of a team in the Canes. Carolina is riding high after torching the Devils in 5 games, with 3 of them being games in which they only allowed one goal while scoring 5+. Florida also beat the Leafs in 5, but all the games were pretty close, with 4 being decided by just a goal and 2 going to OT. Carolina was the best defensive team in the league during the regular season and have had a few games these playoffs were they only allowed about 20 SOG, while Florida has allowed a hilarious amount of SOG to opponents so far, usually in the 30 range with some crazy outliers of like 50 in their last game against he Leafs. Just on paper and based on what I've seen, Carolina should take game 1 here at home.
