We took a bit of beating yesterday missing 3 out of our 4 legs. Our lotto picks hit 3 out of 4. We do not look at this as a failure but as a learning experience. So, what did we learn? Easy... avoid blowouts. 2 of our players did not even see the floor in the 4th quarter. With that in mind let's attack tonight's slate.
P: Jalen Williams +10.5 points
As you can see Jalen Williams has been consistently over this line in 10 of his last to games and in every game to start this season. Shai is going to get the attention of the Suns and we almost went there, but his consistency isn't to that level. Although Williams definitely will not reach the highs of Shai, he has gotten the job done at a super consistent level.
A: Luka Donic +6 assists
In Luka we trust. It is always super hard to get decent odds on a superstar-level player, but we like this look in a quality matchup. Luka gets the Pelicans tonight in what should be a close game. Luke obviously has the ability to sail past this line, but as the data indicates, even if Luka is off he should hit 6+ assists tonight. We like the edge here given what Luka can do on any given night.
R: Rudy Gobert +10 rebounds
Rudy! Rudy! Rudy! Rudy has always been very reliable on the boards and this season has started no differently. He has +10 rebounds in each of his first 8 games and in 10 of his last 10 games. Rudy is also matched up against the Golden State Warriors tonight, a team he has had 10+ boards against in 5 of his last 5 games. Rudy should have no issues cleaning the glass tonight.
T: Jabari Smith +1 3-pointers
Jabari Smith is developing into the stretch forward prospect Houston was hoping for. In 8 games this year, he has hit at least 1 3 and has hit in 9 of his last 10 games. Smith was 2 out 4 to this line against the Nuggets last year and in those 2 hits, Smith canned 6 3s. Further Smith has hit this line in 9 of his last 10 games.
