Welcome back gang! We are back with our Pine Prop of the Day! Today's top play is Austin Riley hit + Ryan Feltner 3 K's on Fanduel Sportsbook at -135.
We are rolling with a veteran and a first time guy today for our best bet. Riley has been a mainstay in my bets, especially against lefties. Riley has dominated southpaws over his career and faces Trevor Rogers tonight in Miami. Rogers has struggled to say the least this season against RHB, 6.18 XFIP, 2.5 WHIP and only a 9% K percentage. Rogers primarily throws, Sinker/Slider/4 seamers about 80% of the time. Riley has a .364 batting average against sinkers this year and .500 Batting average against sliders. With a 14% K rate and a .371 batting average against 3rd time through the lineup, we should see a ton of Marlins bullpen today. Marlins rank bottom 5 in WHIP, ERA, and batting average allowed on the season.
Feltner has been hit or miss in his two starts this year. The last start he was unbelievable. 10 Strikeout performance in Coors Field, is amazing. The matchup tonight is a tough one, but should be a decent spot for Feltner who dominates against RHB. Feltner has a 2.64 XFIP against RHB and a 34% strikeout rate. The Blue Jays will be trotting out 6 Righties, with all of them being their power bats. His changeup and and four seamer both have a 46 and 38% whiff rate respectively. The Blue Jays usually don't strikeout much, but through 324 at bats against RHP this season, they have a 27.7% k rate. I will be laddering Feltner up to 6 K's at +360 tonight.
