The Red Sox look to keep their playoff hopes alive and well as their biggest competition slug it out in Toronto.

Coming off a three-game sweep at the hands of the Yankees, Boston occupies the second wild card position, just one game ahead of Toronto and one game behind New York. Thankfully, they can bounce back against the one AL East team with a losing record with their long-time ace.

Against the Orioles, Chris Sales is 10-1 in 11 starts since joining the Red Sox. He has never allowed more than three runs in a single start and was well north of one strikeout per inning, prior to this year.

Since the start of September, the Orioles have the seventh worst batting average and have the third worst runs in the first five innings at just two per game.

In August, the Red Sox lost consecutive series against the Blue Jays and Rays, but in their first game against a sub-.500 team (coincidentally against the Orioles), they won 8-1. Exactly a week later, after being swept by the Yankees, they face another sub-.500 Texas Ranger squad and won 6-0 with Chris Sales getting the W.

Another Prime Pick: Chris Sale to Record a Win (-115)
