We all make mistakes but when the Los Angeles Lakers let Alex Caruso go during the past off-season, they made a huge one.

Caruso has come alive now that he's playing for the Chicago Bulls. Actually, that's not entirely fair because Caruso has always played his heart out. But he's taken things to a higher level with the Bulls. Just look at his two-and-three-point percentages.

No

Perhaps the most impressive feature of Caruso's game is his ability to steal the ball from opponents. He showed off his abilities when playing in LA but he's gotten a lot better at it now that he's landed in Chicago. So far this season, his steal percentage has reached a career-high of 4.9%. That means that every time Caruso is on the floor against an opposing team there is a 4.9% chance of him stealing the ball.

Those steals have been a major difference-maker this season. Just last night, Caruso stole the ball 6 times. You might think that's not a big deal but it really is, especially when you think about it. NBA players are fast, huge, and expertly trained. Can you imagine being able to literally grab hold of the ball from an NBA player's hands? It is far, far harder than you would imagine.

For his efforts, Caruso is now the best in the league when it comes to steals, with an average of 2.6 a game. The stat shows just how impressive Alex Caruso is - and how silly LA was for letting him go.
