Klay Thompson hasn't done what he loves in more than two years.

The star NBA player hasn't been able to suit up for his Golden State Warriors since the 2018-2019 season, when he experienced multiple injuries that nearly ended his career.

But he's almost back. After years of rehabilitation and training - and anticipation - Thompson is this close to playing with the Dubs again. The latest rumors say that he will be on the court by Christmas.

It's obvious that Thompson is dying to play again. His emotions are high, leading to moments like the one pictured below, after a Warriors-Blazers game. Imagine being so painfully close to something you've wanted for so long? You can understand why Thompson is in his feelings.

There is no doubt that when Thompson is healthy and ready to go again, he will burst onto the team with serious force. As a reminder, this is what Klay was doing before he was side-lined because of injury:

What you see there is a player who is tremendously effective on the floor - and tremendously consistent too. Far too many people think he's the weaker half of the Splash Brothers but he's so much more than that. When it comes to a player like Klay Thompson, you need him to be reliable. You need to be able to count on him and, time and time again, the Warriors have learned they can do just that.

When it comes to reliability, Klay Thompson is one of the few sure things in the NBA.

The Warriors are already a threat in...well, every way imaginable, but they will get so much scarier when Thompson has returned - especially from beyond the three-point arch. Thompson puts up more than three three-pointers a game on average. That means that in a short amount of time, the Warriors might be the predominant three-point team in the league. They're already close!

Klay Thompson is about to return with a vengeance. He's been waiting for this moment for ages and he's ready to go. And he will not only be playing with enthusiasm - he will be playing with a sort of efficiency and power that All-Star caliber. You thought the Warriors were scary already? Just wait for number 11 to be on the floor again.
