Hello and welcome to the second edition of what I am calling Down the Stream! The purpose of this series is to help those streaming the less important fantasy positions (Defense, Kicker, Tight End etc.) find the perfect matchups/pickups on a week to week basis.
Today, we’ll be looking at Tight Ends that are under 50% owned. Maybe you’re looking for that perfect BYE replacement for Dallas Goedert, or scrambling to find a replacement for Waller or Hockenson. Either way, we’ve got some options you should be looking into this week.

  • Evan Engram (Season: 35 REC, 334 YDS, 2 TDs, 32% Owned)

  • Usually when Mike Glennon is the starter for the team throwing your guy the ball, it means very bad news for your Fantasy Sunday. But such is not the case for any team with Evan Engram in your TE slot. In the 6 quarters that Mike Glennon has been on the field, Evan Engram has been targeted 8 times with 7 receptions and 98 yards receiving. Not to mention, Engram has seen his snap share not fall below 80% in the past four games. Glennon is not known for his strong arm (his yards per attempt sits at a measly 5.6 yards) so Engram should be peppered with targets against a Chargers Defense that is giving up the 4th most points per game according to FanDuel.

Gerald Everett, Seattle Seahawks (Season: 34 REC, 279 YDS, 2 TDs, 31% Owned)

  • Unsurprisingly, the return of Russell Wilson helps an offense produce. But, very few players on the Seahawks have benefitted more than Gerald Everett. In the four games since Russ has returned from the IR, Everett has seen an eye popping 27 targets. He’s broken the ten point barrier twice in those four games. Some critics may point to an atrocious game against the 49ers last week, but San Francisco allows the 2nd lowest points to Tight Ends. This week, Seattle gets a potential blowout matchup against Houston which allows the 9th most points to Tight ends.

  • James O'Shaughnessy, Jacksonville Jaguars (Season: 12 REC, 114 YDs, 0 TDs, 1% owned)

  • This might be a stretch but hear me out. The Jacksonville Jaguars lack pass catchers at every level, to the point of lining up Laquon Treadwell on the outside recently. In fact, the only real player to find success in the Jags passing offense was TE Dan Arnold. He averaged 57 yards per game post-week 5 and was getting at least 5 targets a game. When Arnold went down, QB Trevor Lawrence’s affinity for the Tight End didn’t stop as he targeted O’Shaugnessy at least five times a game since he stepped into the starting role. The Illinois St. product hasn’t done much with it, but the volume is still there. He’s one to watch down the stretch with easy matchups against the Jets and Texans and due to his availability in almost every league.
