Hello, and welcome; tonight on The Dog Pound, we are analyzing the Knicks verse Warriors game using Pine’s player prop projections. Spoiler alert–it was a great night here on Pine Sports!

Now, I know this is a safe space for the underdogs, but let’s be honest, I wanted to throw my phone at the TV tonight! The Knicks were so close yet so far, the. Entire. Game. Every time Stephen Curry got the ball, I heard myself screaming DEFENSE. Like, come on, we know he can make the three-pointers, so let’s not give him the chance to hit them.

Side note, congrats to Curry on the new record. I have to say that was pretty amazing to watch.

Besides neglecting to cover Curry, I would say we had a pretty good game defensively. Now, offensively, let’s make some baskets. We were neck and neck throughout the game. Just a few more baskets, and we would have had the Warriors.

Anyway, let’s talk about Alec Burks. We projected him to score 13 points, 3 points under the prop line. By the third quarter, he got 8 points, a pretty rough start compared to teammate and point guard Derrick Rose (12 points by third quarter).

Burks ended the game at 14 points, which was under the prop line at 16.5.

Moving onto our next player, Julius Randle. Now, I say this with no mean intentions, but Randle get it together. We favored the under-in points, with the prop like at 17.5. But only 8 points by the third quarter? What’s going on? Do you need to talk it out?

Randle pulled himself together to finish the game at 31 points. Who knows what happened between the first and second half for Randle, but whatever it was, it worked in favor of the Knicks!

Sadly, I am disappointed in the Knicks tonight with the final score of 96-105. I thought we had the Warriors. But at least our player prop projections were spot on for Burks. It was a great night to use our site for betting!

That’s all for today’s edition of The Dog Pound! Come back on Thursday to see how the Chargers hold out against the Chiefs!
