Tyrese Maxey Under 3.5 3PM (-115 DK)
Maxey has a tough pullup three-point shooting matchup here as 45% of his attempts are threes but 30 of the 45% come from pullup threes, which the Nets allow the 5th lowest frequency and the 8th fewest made in the past 10 games. He shot 3 of 6 from the perimeter last time he played the Nets and that was without Embiid and George. In games with both of those guys playing, he’s under this line in 6 of 9 games. Nets like to switch which takes away those pullup looks and if he does take a ton of pullup looks, it’ll be some tough looks. He’s taken 11 or less 3PA in all but one game with those two playing, and when he does that in general, he’s under in 14 of 19 games on the season. Much better spot for Embiid to score one on one here or players to create of the dribble within the three point line, which we know Maxey is suited to do.
Luke Kennard Over 10.5 Pts (-125 DK)
Kennard in his last three games has played 27, 29 and 32 minutes. When he plays 25+ minutes, he’s over this line in 6 of 7 games this season. a few weeks ago against the Warriors he played 24 minutes and scored 15 points. He has a plus matchup here in the catch & shoot department as the Warriors are the 2nd worst spot up defense on the season and bottom 10 in catch & shoot threes the past 10 games. They allowed Memphis to shoot 48 threes last time and I wouldn’t be surprised if the game plan is to chuck threes again as a lot of defensive attention should go onto Jaren Jackson Jr.
Malik Beasley Over 15.5 Pts (-110 DK)
Beasley’s volume has been great as he’s had 15+ field goal attempts in 6 of the last 8 games. Last game he had a horrible shooting night with 1 of 10 from the perimeter but looking for him to have some positive regression here. On the season the Timberwolves have been good against spot up shooting but in the past 10 games they are allowing the 6th highest catch & shoot three frequency and the 11th most made. That sets up perfectly for Beasley here. He’s played four games with Cunningham and without Ivey. Three of them he scored 26+ points on 17+ field goal attempts. His lone miss was last game with 12 points on 5 of 16 shooting. In games with 15+ field goal attempts he’s over this line in 13 of 15 games.
