Good evening and welcome to the fifth edition of The Dog Pound! Tonight, we take on the Pistons who played the Knicks in their – spoiler alert – very upsetting game. First and foremost, we will look at the winner predictions I made on Pine with their predictions tool.

Unfortunately, tonight, the underdogs were not favored to win. But fortunately, Pine helped us predict correctly. The robot selected New York to win with the probability of 70.0%. Pistons lost 91-105, making tonight a great night for all the Pine users (and half the country, I mean, who doesn’t love the Knicks?)

Honestly, with the Knicks changing their starting lineup tonight and down six players due to illnesses unrelated to COVID-19, I had faith in the Pistons tonight. But much to my chagrin, in the first half, I lost all hope. What is with the Pistons and their first-half horrors?

The Pistons' comeback in the third quarter was fast but ineffective (sadly). The Pistons scored 32 points in the third quarter and 22 in the fourth, significantly improving from the first quarter. However, the Knicks' offense did not slow down.

Now let’s look at our Piston’s player props for Bey, Stewart, and Diallo. For points, our robot favored the under for Bey with the prop line at 16.5. Our robot was right on this one, as Bey knocked down 15 points in the basket.

Next for Stewart, we favored the under with a prop line at 9.5. Stewart ended the game with a total of 9 points, making our prediction correct.

Lastly, we had Diallo at a prop line at 11.5, and we favored the under in the prop line. Finishing the game at 10 points, Diallo proved our predictions correct. Of course, we ended the game with our prediction of points scored for these players with a perfect record tonight.

All in all, this was a killer game to watch. Yes, it was upsetting to watch the Pistons lose. But, it was great to see our player prop projections in action, hitting all the predictions. As always, this was The Under Dog bringing you the underdog's analysis of game and player stats. Have a great night and see you next time!
