With Baseball very spread out today, we turn our attention to Twins vs Royals (2:10 pm EST start) for our two favorite bets.
Royals/Twins NRFI -130 & Joe Ryan o4.5 K's -140
This is a game I like multiple spots in, lets start with Joe Ryan. While we are working with a very small sample size, the 25 year old has shown impressive strikeout capabilities. The projections currently have him pegged at 5.84, and I definitely think 6+ K's is definitely worth an additional sprinkle at +134. He only went 4 innings throwing 70 pitches due to 4 walks, we saw that improve to 6 innings on 80 pitches in his second outing, with 0 walks. Ryan holds a 6-1 record in terms of NRFI, and while thats a small sample, is still very impressive. Having a reliable pitcher like Greinkie on the mound is also good for limiting the Twins side, Buxton is back in the lineup, but wont have it easy in his first game back. I think we continue to see Ryan's impressive offspeed pitches strikeout batters, and also cash our first NRFI of the season.
