Hello and welcome back to another edition of Pine's NBA Daily Fantasy picks.  It's finally playoff season and the first round is heating up. We've seen huge performances from Jalen Brunson, Jordan Poole, and Joel Embiid. So, using Pine's expert AI tools and Analysis, lets take a look at who you should be picking in Daily Fantasy Lineups.

MVP of the Day: $11,200 Nuggets C Nikola Jokic  (This Month: 64 Fantasy Points Per Game)

I know it's extremely boring to pick the highest scoring fantasy player in all of basketball, but there's no real alternative. The only players in tonight's slate close to even sniffing his numbers in the month of April is Ja Morant (47 FPPG) and Jordan Poole (43 FPPG), which are still double digits per game behind the Joker. He's also second in the NBA in Playoff fantasy points, in spite of not being in the top 50 for Minutes Per Game. Golden State also is mostly using a small ball lineup in this series, which sees Warriors F Draymond Green at Center. While this lineup is an offensive powerhouse, it does leave a smaller Draymond on Jokic which will mean offensive success for the former MVP. Here's the top 12 players for tonight's slate by FPPG in April.

Mid Range Gem: $8,000 Mavericks G Jalen Brunson (This Month: 33 FPPG)

After a calf injury sidelined Mavericks star Luka Doncic, the play making for this Dallas squad fell into the hands of Jalen Brunson. Brunson has shown himself to be very capable of handling the load especially after posting a career high 41 points in Game 2. He is shooting over 50% from both the field and from beyond the arc and is averaging 5 assists in these playoffs. With the Mavericks pessimistic on Luka's ability to play tonight, Jalen should get the same usage he has been. One more thing, Brunson's Assists Per Game without Doncic in the regular season was a whopping 7.5. It should be interesting to see if he hits those same numbers in game 3.

Diamond in the Rough: $6,100 Memphis G/F Dillon Brooks (This Month: 29 FPPG)

It's kinda crazy calling Dillon Brooks a "Diamond in the Rough", but alas with smaller rotations and fewer teams that's kinda what he is. Brooks has been a key contributor for Memphis down the stretch and he's posted 25 FPPG+ in 8 of his past 15 games. It's also a very good matchup for Brooks who is facing the 7th worst defense in the NBA and the worst by far in the playoffs. He'll be a top 3 option on this Memphis offense and should see plenty of opportunities. Looking at our Pine AI, it's official projection is 29 Fantasy Points tonight. A score well worth that 6k price tag.
