In looking at today’s matchups, two players immediately stood out to me to attack for today.  Getting both players right now at plus money makes it very hard to pass up.  Let’s take a deeper look into why Mike Trout and Byron Buxton stand out as value plays for tonight:

Mike Trout has yet to face Triston McKenzie but he has been hitting RHP’s very well so far this season, batting .333 on 30 AB’s, a .833 SLG %, and 6 extra base hits.  Looking at advanced metrics, Trout has a .500 ISO and .493 wOBA vs RHP’s this season, both very elite numbers.  Dating back to last season, Trout has a .425 ISO and .492 wOBA vs RHP’s so his early season success is definitely maintainable for him.  McKenzie over the same stretches has allowed higher metrics to right handed batters with a .305 wOBA and .150 ISO numbers.  He also throws primarily fastball and slider to RH’s, both of which Trout has great numbers; .329 ISO vs FF and .512 vs SL

Did anyone NOT see Buxton’s massive walk-off home run the other day?!  Buxton needs to stay healthy, but he is putting on a show so far this season with a .351 batting average and a .946 slugging percent.  He is 1 for 3 career vs Rodriguez (LHP) but so far this season vs lefties he has a .692 ISO and .513 wOBA.  Rodriguez's primary pitches are fastball, change-up, and cut fastball.  Buxton vs lefties on these three pitches are as follows; .444 ISO vs FF, .353 ISO vs CH, and a .571 ISO vs FC.  He is also over 2 Total Bases in 5 of 8 at home.

Bet #1 Mike Trout o1.5 Total Bases +105 (DK or MGM)
