Ok lets start with the Miami Heat they're going against a beat up Philly team who won't have arguably the most dominate player in the NBA in Joel Embiid. The Heat are great perimeter defensive team who should be able to slow down the guard play of Maxey and Harden. The Heat have a top 5 defensive rating in the NBA. Them being at home makes it an easy pick with them knowing they should be able to win the first 2 games with no Embiid.
The Phoenix Suns are a top 3 defensive team and the Mavs are top 10, but what this game will come down to is that the Suns are at home and that they have the better interior defense. Both Luka and Brunson love getting to the paint and scoring for themselves or finding others. Ayton/McGee/Bridges/Crowder will make it long night for those 2 trying to score down low. The #ValleyBoys will have the arena rocking and a rest Devin Booker/CP3 for the home opener. Give me the ML and them to win game 1.
