Pick 8: Tucker Barnhart O.5 bases (-140 MGM)
Finally, an over prop I actually like! If you’ve been reading my recent stuff I’ve been heavy into the unders lately, because I never really found an over I was comfortable taking. Well today, I found one.
This guy’s line is too low. I’ll say it now. He is the catcher, and most people don’t give them any credit but .5 with that I’m about to show you is an instant lock for me.
First of all, the guy can switch hit (hit right or left handed to get an advantage on the pitcher) which helps him dominate righties as you can see here
The pitcher for the A’s isn’t doing so hot as a righty as is evident by his poor numbers.
He is still a green (pun intended) pitcher and although he does have 9 K’s in only 7 innings pitched, Barnhart will be able to get a hit off this guy.
Looking at the park stats for runs, hits, etc. we can see some good news for us
We don’t need any HRs from him , just a single will do.
Not much else to say, definitely a lock for me.
