Pick 9: Reds @ Pirates O8 (-115 MGM)

Today's matchup will be an interesting one I think. Tail responsibly again please. We saw yesterday what the Reds are capable of hitting wise, and it might have been because of the high temps (81 in Pittsburgh today), but the ball was flying, and not the way people thought it would. I myself thought the Brewers would come out hot and smoke the Reds pitcher, but it ended up being the other way around.

We can see that the pitching matchup today is much different, but Brubaker's ERA is still higher than we'd like it to be for an Under pick.

If we look at the trendline for the total scores of these two teams, we can see the same low bump in the total scores a bit ago, and then a quick uptick. This is most likely due to the increasing temps as well as the return to the old baseballs we keep hearing about.

If you look at the O/U for these two teams, both of them have been going over quite often this season so far.

Looking at the Ballpark Pal chart again, we can see that there is an overall decrease in runs potential, however, there is a large increase in XBH's. I am not worried that there won't be HR potential, as both of these teams don't rely on HR's to score, they use lots of singles and XBH's. We saw yesterday for the Reds to get 7 runs in 2 innings it only took a few good hits, and then a few solid doubles.

Thanks for reading and good luck on your bets!
