Happy Tuesday Pine Users! Last night we shot 50% from the field with Thor feeling to pick up 4 K's and Xander Bogaerts and the rest of the offense failing to score multiple runs. Normally, something like that would mess up a parlay but when you play Thrive's daily contests you just need to be better than the people you play against! Anyways, we have another good slate of MLB games so let's get some locks cooking!

Baltimore CF Cedric Mullins: Under 1.5 Bases (85 Thrive Points)

Woof talk about a disappointing season. Mullins does not look like the budding superstar he was in 2021, especially in his last ten games. He's hitting .225 over his past ten with no home runs and two steals. He was hitless in his series against the Guardians and was even benched on Sunday. In his past ten games vs RHP, he only has three games of two bases or more. He'll be facing a red hot Keegan Thompson, who has failed to record a loss in twelve starts and has a sub 2 ERA. No bases for you Mr.Mullins

Rangers SS Corey Seager: Under .5 RBIs (90 Thrive Points)

After a rainout last night, Seager and the Rangers will get two cracks at the Guardians in a doubleheader. It's worth mentioning that this bet is for game two of said doubleheader so fatigue could be an issue here. Seager has not appeared to be the nine figure man that Texas has paid him to be. He's hitting .232 and has only totaled 11 homers and 23 RBI's. He'll be trying to bring his season back to life against Konnor Pilkington who has a 1.54 ERA at Progressive Field and is averaging just under 5 K's. Seager only has 5 RBIs in his past ten games and has none in his past three. However the lack of RBI's isnt just a Seager problem, it's a Rangers problem. Here are the bottom ten teams in RBI's per game.

Astros SP Justin Verlander: Over 5.5 K's (90 Thrive Points)

The future hall-of-famer has shown no signs of slowing down in 2022. Last time out, he took a no hitter into the 7th inning before a couple hits put the game in jeopardy. He has seven quality starts in ten total starts this season and is averaging nearly one strikeout per inning pitched. In fact he's only had one game with less then 5 K's all season. He's got 6+ strikeouts in six of his ten starts and will have home field advantage. Going back to 2019, Verlander has only thrown less then 5 strikeouts against the Mariners twice and has also thrown double digit K's in that span twice. Houston, we have a lock.
