Hello and welcome back to another edition of my sports betting column hosted by Pine Sports. We are back from a weekend hiatus with a ton of new MLB bets as we transition into the dog days of summer. Of course as always, I will be using Pine's expert AI and lines provided by Pine partner Thrive Fantasy to ensure that following my advice will make you some cold hard cash. Anyways, let's get into it.

Blue Jays 1B Vladimir Guerrero Jr.: Over .5 Hits (90 Thrive Points)

Vlad Jr. is picking up where he left off in last year's campaign for AL MVP, he would've had it too if not for Ohtani's historic season. Of course, it isn't all sunshine and rainbows as Guerrero had an abysmal May with a .681 OPS in 26 games. But June has been his month, garnering hits in all but four games. In his past ten games, he is hitting nearly .400 with four homers and five multi-hit games. Vlad is making a statement and so am I. Take the over.

Brewers P Corbin Burnes: Over 5.5 K's (90 Thrive Points)

The reigning Cy Young in the National League has been a tad bit shaky in his past few starts. In three starts in the month of June, he has given up eight earned runs and gone 1-2. With Burnes starting to flame out and the Brewers losing grasp on a non-competitive NL Central, many Milwaukee citizens are worried. Have no fear though, as Burnes has a comfortable start against the Cardinals coming his way. Burnes has a 1.93 ERA and 54 strikeouts in seven starts against St.Louis since 2020. That's an average of over seven strikeouts per start, which goes hand in hand with his average of 7.8 strikeouts in his past ten starts. For a little bit of seasoning, here's the MLB strikeout leaders

Cubs SS Andrelton Simmons: Under 1.5 Bases (85 Thrive Points)

The robot has spoken and it has proclaimed that Andrelton Simmons will not be hitting the over on bases tonight. Maybe its his OPS of .413 or his batting average of .200 but the robot is giving this an 89% chance of hitting. He's been so bad that he is locked into a platoon with Johnathan Villar and lost his starting shortstop job to Nico Hoerner. In fact he has only had two multi hit games all season. This bet shouldn't be worth 85 thrive points, it should be worth ten at best.
