Hello and welcome back to a new week of my daily best bets column. We inch closer and closer into July and with that comes the halfway mark of the MLB season. With some divisional races tigher than a boa constrictor (ahem NL Central), it will be a fun summer and fall to watch. But when you bet with Thrive Fantasy, it gets a whole lot funner to watch. Anyways, let's get into some bets.

Yankees 2B D.J. LeMahieu: Under 1.5 BASEs (85 Thrive Points)

LeMahieu is having a meh season thus far. He's hitting .260 and constantly being shuffled through the lineup with stars Josh Donaldson and Gleybor Torres. He's only achieved multiple bases in three of his last ten games and doesn't really have the pop for home run threat these days. All time, LeMahieu is hitting .149 against tonight's opponent, the Oakland A's. I'm going under with this one.

Cardinals 1B Paul Goldschmidt: Over .5 Hits (90 Thrive Points)

The P in NL MVP stands for Paul Goldschmidt. Not actually, but the way he's playing Major League Baseball will have no choice to make it a reality. He has a season average over .330 and an OPS over 1. He keeps getting better too, the past two week have been outstanding. He's hitting .360 over that span with five homers, whilst dealing with back tightness. Shorting the scope, he has hits in eight of his past ten ballgames with three multi-hit games. To add a lil extra seasoning to this pick, here's the MLB leaders in hits.

Nationals OF Juan Soto: Under .5 RBI's (90 Thrive Points)

It's been an abysmal for MLB's former boy wonder. That alone is probably why our robot is giving this a 72% chance of hitting in our AI pick of the week.

Two things. One, Soto is not hitting well at all. He has a .218 season average and has one game with an RBI or more in ten days. He is also four for his last 32. Two, Washington does not score. They rank 25th in runs per game with an atrocious four per game. For these two reasons, I am out on Soto's shot at getting an RBI tonight.
