22yrs old Vrbensky is one of my favourite players. He was already on 282th place but due to injury he really dropped in the ranking and now he is coming back. Out of his last 13 matches he won 12 including two titles in Bern and recently in Kassel. He plays well and has very good game – he is aggressive with very solid strokes.
Here he plays with 23yrs old Kirkin from Turkey. Kirkin did not play that well on the clay in June when he had 2-3 record and lost to van Ascche, Nikles and Neuchrist. I saw that match live in Salzburg and Kirkin did not convince me. But then suddenly last week he won Telf when he defeated Royer in SF and Crawford in finals. But then again, he lost this week to Planinsek.
It is difficult to say which Kirkin will show up here but I trust Vrbensky as he is good player and if he plays well he should win it. In past he already reached SF of challengers beating players like Kohlschreiber or E.Ymer and losing with Wawrinka in 3sets at the time Wawrinka was nr.17
