Anthony Davis, when healthy has shown this season with the Lakers that he is still a force to be messed with in the paint. On the season he is averaging 26.7 points, 12.7 rebounds and is still in the top 10 in the NBA in blocked shots. Davis has hit this number in 8 straight games and has hit it in 15 of 18 games this month.
Milwaukee is a great matchup for Davis here because of what they do defensively. Bucks allow teams to shoot threes but are stingy in the paint. In the paint this season, Bucks rank first in points allowed and #2 overall in field goal percentage. Davis will have a tough time offensively in the paint but that should allow him to contribute on the glass. Starting at center this year has really helped Davis in terms of opportunities on the glass. Davis ranks 3rd in the NBA with 19.4 rebounding chances per game. One thing that is nice as well, is Giannis and Bobby Portis rank in the top 15 as well in rebounding chances. Both of these guys are averaging their rebound 5.1 feet from the basket, meaning we should see opportunities on the offensive and defensive glass for Davis in the matchup tonight.
