My Blues have been on a great run of form lately. In their last four matches they have scored fifteen goals and only let in one goal against the team they’re playing today, Southampton. These two teams met on October 2nd and Chelsea scored two goals in the last six minutes of regulation to win 3-1 at Stamford Bridge.
This match is a Carabao Cup match so, it’s win or go home. There also isn’t “overtime” in this tournament. If it’s tired after regulation time then it goes right to penalties. Both Chelsea’s and Southampton’s last matches in the tournament were tied in regulation and went to penalties. Chelsea has the second most goals scored in the Premier League at 23 only trailing Liverpool with 27. Southampton has a decent defense only allowing 12 goals scored in the EPL this year but, the way that Chelsea has been playing lately I think they should be able to get at least 2 goals in the net and probably more.
