We all knew that the Los Angeles Clippers were going to have a rough season.

The importance of Kawhi Leonard cannot be stressed enough. He was a playmaker, a beast on offense and defense, and a true force to be reckoned with. With him gone for probably the entire season, the Clippers are having to figure out how they'll thrive without him.

And how is that going? So far, not great! The chart below highlights the absolute crash the Clippers have experienced as the new season begins.

As you can see, there are many reasons why the team is struggling. But let's take a look at one of the most important factors: their insistence on three-point shots.

Here's a look at the best three-point teams last season. Look at that: the Clippers sit at the top of the heap.

And now here's the new season so far. Where are the Clippers? They are just five from the very bottom when it comes to three-point percentage. That's an incredible, jaw-dropping fall from grace.

Simply put, the Clippers are not making the deep shots like they did last season. Obviously, there is far more to their problems than just this but it is a big one. More troubling is that it's one the Clippers aren't fixing. Despite their problems with threes, they are still attempting them more than nearly any other team. They're sixth in the league for three-point attempts. Sixth! C'mon guys!

The Clippers need to do a lot to retain their former glory and resemble themselves from past seasons. A good start would be to lay off the damn three-point shots. They're not landing, guys. It's time to give it up and focus on other forms of offense.

The Clippers are obviously having an identity crisis.
