Today we're targeting two contact hitters in the Nationals vs Rockies game (7 PM EST). While neither of these players are at there peaks right now, I think this is a perfect bounceback spot. Both starting pitchers currently boast an ERA of 6+ and I'm expecting some sparks to fly today.
Yadiel Hernandez/Charlie Blackmon Hit +108 (C/FD)
Yadiel has been someone I've targeted over and over this season. He really burst onto this scene in there first series against the Rockies recording a hit in every single game, and 2 against German Marquez. Yadiel is batting .308 on the season and should get the nod against the right handed pitcher, He's 4/8 in his career against Marquez who struggles against left-handed batters. Marquez has allowed 6+ hits in 6 of 8 games this season, Yadiel's ability to make soft contact and constantly reach base makes this a great matchup for him.
Charlie Blackmon is someone who has always been a consistent hitter. While he started the season slow, he's now recorded a hit in 4 of his last 5 games, starting this road trip with a hit in 3 straight games. Blackmon has seen Corbin a lot throughout his career, batting .284 in 49 PA's. He has recorded a hit in all 3 games since he joined the Nationals, and should be able to take advantage of his 6.06 ERA. Corbin has been attacking the strike zone recently, I expect the Rockies hitters to come out aggressive.
